inspiration and all that

photos via tumblr

Chill, minimal, laid-back, comfort and some touch of toughness... these are the essence of my style... or more like my personality, i guess. Not that I'm claiming it. I'm just probably not into super-busy-looking stuff, you know? But if I do, I'm probably hyped or something (that's not a bad thing.lol.)...

Rumi Neely, Jessica Stam, Cara Delevingne and Rihanna are my icons when it comes to style - simplicity, toughness and attitude are what I love about them.

A Boy Named Sue SS13 launch party

Fashionably eco friendly - The Hong Kong based online boutique,  A Boy Named Sue, launched its Spring/Summer 2013 collection last Tuesday at the cosy, Common Ground Cafe. I must say, It's amazing that founders (and Hong Kong fashion bloggers) Sam and Tania created this - I mean, carrying eco friendly and super stylish pieces in one platform? I never though sustainability could be this fab. Seriously. Its motto, "cool clothes with a conscience" - totally achieved! Y'all should check it out now. Click here. ;)

Forever 21 cutoff shoulders top, ZARA 'skort' (skirt/shorts)

le birthday post

Heeeyy! So my birthday happened last week. I still can't believe I'm 24 now - it literally haven't sinked in to me yet. My birthday was pretty chill but fun... and kinda extended (lol). Me and my family went to Orchid Club for dinner - the ever famous li'l Nepalese restaurant in LKF - which I must say, is one my fave places to go to whenever I want to forget about the word 'diet'. And as a gift to myself, I did a little shopping... a little.
Then over the weekend, me and my family went to dinner with a family friend's place... gosh, it was one hell of feast. Right after, I went out with my friends - thanks, b*tches for a fun night - and the cake was fab! haha!

This photo was taken, midnight of my birthday (which i think is becoming a tradition. lol). You're probably wondering why there's a chick in my cake (yes, it was an easter cake). Well, sister's theory was because my blog name is The Chic Swag (making Chic sound like chick). And so she did the writings on a paper with my instagram name and a the birthday hashtag. Anyway, follow me! ;)

btw, thanks to everybody who greeted me on my birthday... and for those who didn't, well it's never too late. haha! kiddin'.

Note: I will be starting a new blog soon. No, it's not gonna be another fashion blog. It's gonna be more like a diary... so watch out for that! ;)

Central/Central SS13 Fashion Show

ZARA blazer, Cotton On basic top, Maple skirt, Forever 21 accessories

with Chibi
with Emily, Jackaline and Louie.

The Central Central Spring/Summer 2013 fashion show/event was a blast. Make up sessions, cupcake workshop and fashion show were all happening at once. Check out my Instagram post for the 'Chanel' inspired cupcake that I made - i was so proud of it, took me a long time to finally get a bite of it. haha!

I wasn't prepared of what to wear that night. Thank goodness I felt a little sick (weird) hours before the event. So I went home for a while, had a power nap and got to change my outfit. I was never a skirt fan, but the maxi skirt I scored from Maple for only HKD98 is just too comfy... I could even wear it in my sleep.
